Hello! My name is Justin and I’m going on a video game missions trip with Gamechurch.
Now, you’re probably wondering, “What on earth is a video game missions trip?” Allow me to explain.

Video games are currently the worlds largest form of entertainment. The video game industry generates over 25 billion dollars of revenue each year–that’s more than double the amount generated by box office sales. Every week, the world spends over 3 Billion hours playing video games, and the average American plays games for 13 hours per week.

Despite the prominence of video games in our culture and everyday lives, the Church at large has done little to reach this booming industry with the love, hope, and acceptance of Jesus Christ. That’s where Gamechurch comes in. Founded in 2010, Gamechurch is a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the gap between the Gospel and the gamer. They do this by participating in various gaming and geek conventions across the country and handing out bibles. In an average calendar year, Gamechurch attends over 10 conventions and hands out over 30,000 bibles to gamers in all walks of life.

I am going to be partnering with Gamechurch by traveling to a gaming convention with them. At the convention, I will be handing out bibles, engaging with convention attendees and telling them that Jesus loves them, unconditionally. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and financial contributions as I strive to reach my fundraising goals. Thank you very much for your time and support.
