This week Drew and M. Joshua chat with Patrick Blank of Runic Games. Patrick who had previously worked on Borderlands is now the game director and lead level designer of Hob, a lovely game that delicately balances action RPG elements with exploration and platforming. Its a game about putting a broken world back together. We discuss Patrick’s background in Jackson, MI, his formative years in a Roman Catholic school, and his desire to make the world the principal character of his new game and give the player feel a sense of responsibility in that world.
