Q: How much does it cost?
A: The total cost is $1100, regardless of when you register. A deposit of $110 is required when you register. This deposit goes towards your final amount.
Q: Why does it cost that much?
A: We wish that participating in gaming conventions wasn’t so expensive, but unfortunately, it is. But we want to engage gamers on their turf, no matter the expense. A typical convention costs us between $6,000 – $10,000, depending on the location and type of show.
Q: Ok, so what are these mystical “expenses” that you speak of, and how does my money pay for them?
Q: What costs do I need to cover?
A: You have to get there and pay for food. If you want any souvenirs, that’s on you too.
Q: Are donations from my people tax-deductible?
A: Yes! We are a federally recognized 501c3 non-profit. Every donor will get a tax-deductible receipt for their contributions. #writeoffs
Q: How can people give donations?
A: We can accept cash, checks, credit/debit cards, and PayPal donations. We will also set you up with your own fundraising website where folks can give directly to you online!
Q: Can I get a refund if…?
A: Unfortunately, most of the conventions that we participate in require us to pay at least 4-6 months in advance. Because of this, we are dependent on the money that comes in from our missionaries to cover these costs. Therefore, we cannot issue refunds for any reason.
Q: But what about in the event of a nuclear apocalypse?
A: Maybe. But any other type of apocalypse, no.
Q: Is there an age requirement?
A: Sort of. If you are coming alone, we require you to be 18 years old+. However, we have made exceptions for groups and some people under 18 with chaperone supervision. If you’re under 3 years old, you can come for free. But if you’re under 3 years old, you probably can’t read this, so…yeah.
Q: What do we do at the convention?
A: Watch this!
Q: I really like video games. Will I get time to walk around the convention floor?
A: Yes! You will certainly get some time to see the stuff that you love. Just remember though, our reason for being there is to tell people Jesus loves them and give them free stuff!
Q: Do you accept caps/rupees/gil as currency?
A: Unfortunately, much to our dismay, video game currency isn’t real and won’t help us pay for stuff. Better luck next year. Believe us, we wish it were real.
