About Gamechurch
GameChurch was birthed through a chance meeting with the directors of xxxchurch.com at a conference in Portland, Oregon. After spending 1 year researching the video game industry and assorted trade shows and expos, the leadership of GameChurch found something missing. “We wanted to bring a simple message of hope to the culture of gaming”, states Mikee Bridges, founder and Director of GameChurch. “We are all gamers and want to bring this message to our own world of nerd culture.”...

Mikee Bridges
Founder & Director
Husband and father of 4 kids, Mikee Bridges has been in self-described “dirty” ministry since his first music club in 1989. He went on to create 3 more clubs during his 14 years in Portland, Oregon. During that time he also created “The Push”, his longest running and most well-known club. From that was birthed a great many bands and “Tom Festival” a 150 band, 4 day music festival that ran for 14 years in 4 different states. Mikee was also creator and front man for the bands “Sometime Sunday” on Tooth and Nail records and “Tragedy Ann” on Organic/ Pamplin Records. Upon moving back to his hometown of Ventura in Southern California, Mikee created “Alpine”, a 25,000 square foot entertainment facility including a music venue, skate park, café and video gaming facility. Epic Ministries, of which Mikee was a board member and CEO, took over the facility and Mikee created “The Armory” and “GameChurch”. “The Armory” is a 3,000 square foot gaming facility and “GameChurch” is both a mission to the gaming trade show circuit and an online community experience. Mikee also travels overseas for leadership development and evangelism.
Cory Prater
Director of Logistics
Cory is married and father to a 12-year-old daughter. He didn’t grow up as a Christian but came to the faith in High School through a youth group in his hometown of Oxnard California. He has worked in youth programs at two different churches; He was first a youth pastor at a church in Oxnard and more recently at the church his family attends in Ventura. He was also pastoral intern at a church plant in Ventura for some time. After September 11 he was compelled to enlist in the Navy Reserves where he served for 6 years. He’s also had a vast experience in project management for several manufacturing and logistic companies. He came to work at The Armory due to a relationship with friend and mentor Mikee Bridges. At about that same time GameChurch was becoming a reality. Cory manages many aspects of GameChurch; from tradeshows logistics, vendor relations, to PR coordination and everything in between. Cory’s ‘love’ for video games, tattoo’s, old cars and ‘vintage’ music make him a perfect fit in the GameChurch family.

Josh Gannon
Community Manager
Josh Gannon is a goofy, 28 year old redbull addict who has been gaming as far back as he can remember. Born and raised in SoCal, he is the eldest of 2 brothers, and while he is unmarried and has no children, he does have a mouse-pad with kittens on it. His most played game of all time is Call of Duty 4, closely followed by Skyrim, TF2, and minecraft. With interests in photography, writing, graphic design, and more, he always finds himself involved with something that plays to his artistic talents, or learning new ones. Being deeply rooted in his faith, Gannon has always had a passion for helping others and tries to make his life centered around that goal. He has pursued that desire having worked and volunteered at various churches, youth groups, and other non-denominational events. His most recent event was a fundraiser where video games were used as the medium to help feed hungry families.
