We have learned a very valuable lesson bigger is not always better. In fact, we have found out that we have a much greater impact on the mission at local conventions and trade shows. Sure big shows are a lot of fun and we reach thousands of people, but local shows allow us to reach people who live right next door. Local shows also allow us to make more authentic relationships with the people we are reaching. Moving forward we would like to see GameChurch more involved at the local level rather than the national level, because of the greater impact the materials and missionaries can have.
Doing this helps us fulfill the mission of GameChurch to bridge the gap between the Gospel and the gamer. Therefore, we exist to help educate Christians and the local churches to understand gaming culture, how to relate to gamers, and how to reach them through creative ministry opportunities like attending a local gaming conference or trade show.
Over the past several months GameChurch has invested a lot of time and resources to do research and development on how to empower individuals and churches to start participating at their local conventions and shows as exhibitors and missionaries of GameChurch. Our hope is to empower missionaries all across the United States furthering the impact GameChurch makes on the gamers and nerds alike at these various conventions and shows.
